The Performance Exploration
Find which securities from your database will work beset with the system you're testing. Choose one system out of the 54 that best fits your trading style. Then run a performance exploration over a list of your favorite securities, or an entire database of securities to see which securities performed best using that system.
The 70 new performance explorations that come with this package filter, sort, and rank the securities, calculating the gains/losses in the actual movement of the underlying security. You'll know how the security performed based on taking long positions, short positions, long an short positions, then comparing all three to a buy and hold strategy. It's like running a system test on multiple securities at the same time!
The System Tester
The System Tester tells you even more about how your chosen security will perform under various conditions, so you can make the best trading decision possible.
Evaluating a system involves much more than looking at profit. That's why the system tester is so vital. It allows you to get an even closer look at your security. The frequency of trades, drawdown and risk/reward are all criteria that you should take into consideration when gauging the effectiveness of a system. The System Tester allows you to do this.
If you prefer to trade a favorite security, you can also use the system tester to perform a comparison test of the 54 systems to find which strategy is most effective on your chosen security.
The Signal Exploration
Once you've chosen a system and securities, use the Signal Exploration to generate your entry/exit signals. After running the performance exploration and analyzing the data with the system tester, you may have perhaps 10 stocks you'll want to put in a watch list. Then perform a signal exploration on this list to find out which are coming up with buy/sell signals for that day.
Attach the Expert Advisor
Attach the Expert Advisor to your security's chart to get commentary, entry/exit signals, and alerts. The Expert Advisor can be attached to your security's chart once you have a performance system in place for analysis. The Expert Advisor will give you commentary on the system you're using. In addition, it will point out on the security's chart (in red and green arrows), where you would have bought and sold in the past, and if you should buy or sell today. The Expert Advisor will even alert you when a buy or sell signal is triggered.
